COAST TO COAST WALKS

The Coast to Coast walk
is a 190 mile journey from St. Bees on the West coast of England through some
of the Uk's most stunning countryside in three of England’s
finest national parks; the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales
and the North Yorkshire Moors before ending on the Eastern Coast at Robin Hoods Bay. It is
one of the most popular long distance walks in the country and should take
between 11 to 15 days depending on your exact chosen route.

(a well know author of mountain walking books on the
Along the route you will pass through a variety of landscapes and stunning
surroundings in each of the national parks. In the first section of the walk
you will see stunning lakes and rugged mountains in the

The next section of the
walk offers a more gentle terrain around Shap and Orton. Pass the market town of Kirkby Stephen and enter the
second national park, the
The third sections of the walk is the toughest part as you pass through the
arable farmland of the Vale of York before it climbs to the stunning purple
heather moorland of the North York Moors. Spurred on
by the thought of reaching the coast this section appears to go quicker, after
crossing through the wooded valley of Eskdale you
reach the rugged North Sea coastline, and following the coastline North towards
the beautiful Robin Hoods Bay for this final section of the walk. Relax In this idyllic seaside village with its gorgeous sandy cove
